2011

Commission 'When I grow Up' a dance-piece challenging stereo types of aging in partnership with the Palace Theatre Mansfield.

Awarded extension contract for 'Aiming Higher' Programme.

Communications Officer appointed from Future Job Funds Employees.

First year of Dance4Life Programme.

Internal review of role and purpose of LD now elements of a dance infrastructure in position and operational.

2010

Commissioned by LCC to develop Aiming Higher programme for young people with disabilities, building on knowledge and opportunities from Integrated Dance programme.

Awarded Health and wellbeing funding for Dance4Life programme with a focus on adults dancing to enhance provision in the county and build capacity beyond dance for young people.

Dance4Life Apprentice role established, only open to graduates from University of Lincoln.

A contract with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) Future Jobs Fund programme enables long term unemployed young people to work with the organisation for 6 months.

Establish Apprentice Bursaries for Graduates from University of Lincoln to work alongside Lincolnshire and London based dancer Katie Green

Bring Retina Dance Company’s Community Residency (RAUW) to Lincoln.

First UK booking and first large-scale intergenerational dance project in Lincolnshire

Appoint Lisa Hurst to Supported Work Opportunity

2009

In partnership with CfBT, Lincolnshire School Improvement Arts Team, developed Talent Lincolnshire, framework and pathways analysis of growing number of dance opportunities for young people by the growing workforce across the county.

Lincolnshire Dance Academy programme incorporated.

Director appointed External Examiner for the Postgraduate Community Dance Diploma at Trinity Laban.

Director elected Chair of Junction Arts.

Over 85,000 people in Lincolnshire involved with dance activities.

2008

Spiral Dance in Rochdale hosted the FiD course, first partnership course.

Formalise process of Dancer Surgeries and Individual Career Plans for dancers.

Introduce Student internship programme.

Appoint Lucy Colgan to Supported Dance Opportunity.

2007

Enable Schools Sports Partnerships to take ownership of delivery of School Dance Festivals thus ensuring easier local access for schools.

ESF funding as part of Flourish to support 9 local dancers to improve individual communication and marketing tools whilst strengthening connectivity amongst local dancers.

Establish Lincolnshire Dance Academy in Partnership with Libby Battaglia, hosted by Grantham College.

Director mentors dancers from the Centre for Classical Indian Dance (CICD) in Leicester to develop the education programme and resource pack as part of ‘URIAH’ tour.

Local dancers supported by LD to place successful G4A applications totalling £85,000.

2006

European Award Best Trainer, 2003 – 2005 by ESF for the Arts Development and teaching NVQ.

Lead on philosophy and structure of undergraduate dance programme at the University of Lincoln, working in partnership with staff to develop the programme. www.lincoln.ac.uk

Creation and tour of a performance by a group of able bodied and disabled young people.

The first of three such projects:

Establish ‘Lead’ programme for high quality dance artists in schools.

Co-commission Club Universal by Temujin Dance Company with South Bank, London.

3 dance companies supported by LD to perform regionally, nationally and internationally.

Over 70,000 people involved with dance activities.

2005

Made in Lincolnshire - A platform for dancers creating and performing work in the county.

Director of LD becomes mentor for Director Northants Dance as part of consultancy in to the future direction of Northants Dance.

Process established for Freedom In Dance programme to be integrated into LD to provide long term security.

4 local authorities within Lincolnshire have at least one part-time dance post.

Appoint Gemma Redgrave to Supported Dance Opportunity.

Local dancers supported by LD to place successful G4A applications totalling £30,000.

2004

One of 4 founding members of Lincolnshire Sports Partnership Director, Keyna Paul takes a two year part-time secondment to work on DCMS PESSCL strategy devising, writing and disseminating the Dance Links strategy. http://www.sportengland.org

Lincolnshire Dance collective launched by Jeannette Siddall, Director of Dance, Arts Council England.

Twenty-four creative dance enterprises in the county supported by and associated with LD.

2003

Receive ESF support to extend the NVQ programme for dance leaders/dancers. Eighteen dancers involved in achieving qualifications alongside building a delivery framework including assessors and an internal verifier.

Establish programme of weekly classes for professional dancers.

Second Commission to Anya Ison Wallace to create Pheasants Hang Around at Roadsides.

Establish Pilot Performance alongside peer and public review process with local dancers.

Eleven dancers achieve Foundation for Community Dance (FCD) Duty of Care Qualifications

Appoint Claire Hill to Supported Dance Opportunity

2002

Marketing Dance strategy devised for and with venues in Lincolnshire, each venue receives a copy.

Receive ESF support to pilot the NVQ (level 3) Arts Development and Teaching enabling local dancers to achieve a nationally recognised accredited qualification.

Initiate a programme of commissioning for local dancers to help those who want to create and perform in work to gain experience.

First commission to Kayla Dougan to create 3 Women Present.

Establish partnership to enhance the Moving Forward Regional Training programme.

2001

In partnership with Lincolnshire School Improvement Service gain £800,000 from the New Opportunities Fund (NOF) for a flagship after-school arts and dance programme.

Providing work for the emerging dance workforce. Programme lasts for five years and then mainstreamed into School Improvement Art Team programme as the Arts Duck Menu. www.artsduck.info

Establish Full Bloom as part of Kayla Dougan’s Supported Work Opportunity.

2000

Constituted as a company limited by guarantee with charitable status.

Establish a partnership commissioning methodology for local authorities and venues in Lincolnshire.

Appoint Kayla Dougan to Supported Dance Opportunity with SRBV funding from Lincoln City Council.
