Lincolnshire Dance is a registered charity which aims to develop a culture where dance and dancers thrive. We are a small organisation with big aspirations to help everyone in Lincolnshire to embrace the joy of dance.

Since 2000, Lincolnshire Dance has changed the face of dance, created a new energy and proved that dancers can earn a living creating, performing and teaching dance in the county. This website is designed to bring relevant, interesting and varied news including up to date information about our current projects, details about past endeavours and how we can help individuals to take their next step.

The dedicated team at Lincolnshire Dance continue to devise new innovative projects and programmes  which work alongside our established activities to provide new dance opportunities and reach new audiences.  In all the opportunities we offer, we are mindful of the busy and stress filled lives that people lead and encompass the 'New Economics Foundation 5 Ways to Well-being' as we strive to support people to embrace dance and integrate it within their everyday life.

We recognise that people may want to embrace dancing for many different reasons, such as beginning a fun and sociable activity with friends or as a method of improving their physical wellbeing. It could also be a way of relaxing and some people may want to pursue a career in teaching or performing.

Whatever the reason, the Lincolnshire Dance team believe that it is important that people can easily find high quality classes or support at a level which suits them. We work hard to:

  • Increase the range and number of ways that people can embrace dance into their lives
  • Develop pathways for those who want dance to play a greater role in their lives
  • Empower people to be involved in their own and in other people’s health and well-being
  • Increase the skills of local dancers so they can develop a sustainable career in dance
  • Attract professional dancers to the County and support them to develop sustainable work programmes


We are dedicated to bringing quality dance opportunities to people of all ages, ability and location as we continue to look to the future.
